Welcome to Weeds and Wire! I’m so glad you’re here to join me on this journey.

I started this site for a lot of reasons, but the one I always come back to is simple: somewhere along the line, I got lost in the hustle of a busy life and forgot what the world right in front of me had to offer. 

This is my personal space to learn, share what I discover, and grow alongside anyone who wants to follow along. I plan to dive into a mix of everything as I figure it out myself, including: 

Weeds & Herbs: Identifying local plants, foraging, and learning the different traditional and practical uses for them.

Canning & Preserving: At this point mostly rebel canning (definitely not for everybody!) and a little standard waterbath canning.

Homesteading & Gardening: Growing a variety of plants, gardening tips, and learning to care for animals.

Gluten-Free Baking: Sharing my experiments and recipes as I dive deeper into it.

Future Goals: Navigating the journey toward hopefully obtaining a cottage food license one day.

My background is actually in the tech field, so my brain is naturally wired for engineering. Because of that, you will quickly learn that while my brain excels at complex systems, it occasionally “shorts out” when it comes to the most basic things!

I’ve finally learned to be okay with wherever this path takes me. For years, I struggled against uncertainty. But I’ve come to realize: what if life is supposed to lead you to new things, completely changing the path you thought you were on?
